Typographie: Regards d’écrivains

Le quotidien français La Croix dans son édition du 15 novembre 2012 publie une intéressante double page à propos de la typographie dans les livres. Plusieurs d’entre-nous y sont cités, depuis Massin jusqu’à Philippe Millot ou encore Anne Lagarrigue. Lorsque nous créons et publions des caractères typographiques, il toujours difficile de comprendre ce qui se passe sous les yeux des lecteurs, une fois le résultat achevé. Alors lorsque des écrivains en parlent, c’est encore plus passionant! Un moment magique.

For sure, it happen all the time. Even on the métro in Paris, all signs are set with such glyphs in every stations. Direction are much more clear with this text set everyday, at least the typeface is legible.

ATypI 1996 The Hague

Moving to a new place, filling out boxes and boxes is a good excuse to bring back old stuff found inside the cover of some books. The today images came from the glorious days before digital cameras. Few images, low quality, but fun to rediscover, especially when you still know all the people on the images today and how they are. The images have been take during ATypI 1996 conference, The Hague.
